ITINERARY
Day 1: USA - Rome.
Overnight transatlantic flight via Air France AF 011, departing from New York JFK airport at 9:00pm. Dinner and breakfast served on board.
Day 2: Rome.
Arrival in Rome at 2:40PM and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel Mediterraneo www.bettojahotels.it
Day 3: Rome.
After breakfast morning city tour. Visit Basilica of St Peter Basilica, the largest church in the Christian world, built over the tomb of St.Peter, than continue to Roman Forum, with stop at the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona, built on the ruins of the Domitian's Circus. Free afternoon for shopping or take optional tour Imperial Rome. Overnight in Rome.
Day 4: Rome- Naples- Pompeii - Sorrento.
After breakfast on a way to Naples, stop at the Castelo Romano - Designer Outlet Mall with over 100 shops, including some of the most know Italian and International brands with price reduced from 30% to 70%. Continue to Naples where you will have an orientation drive along Via Caracciolo (the seafront promenade), see the Opera House, Santa Lucia, and with short visits in Pompeii (the ancient city covered by volcanic lava, 2000 years ago), with guided tour of preserved ruins of temples, houses, and public building. Then continues to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at Grand Hotel Parco del Sole www.gigliohotels.com.

Day 5: Sorrento - Capri
(optional excursion).
After breakfast free day to explore this beautiful town or take optional tour (transfer to port of Sorrento to board the hydrofoil) to the Isle of Capri. Visit Gardens of Augustus, then continue by minibus to Anacapri, the highest village on the island with spectacular views.
Afternoon return to Sorrento for dinner in local Restaurant.
Day 6: Sorrento – Positano – Amalfi – Ravello (optional excursion)
After breakfast free time for shopping or take the optional excursion to Positano, a brief stop at the Belvedere and continue to Amalfi, the first Roman Sea Republic of Italy. After guided walking tour of old town we continue to Ravello. Here the guided tour includes medieval Villa Rufolo, with tropical gardens and San Pantaleone Cathedral. Afternoon return to Sorrento for overnight.
Day 7: Sorrento- Monte Cassino - Rome.
Morning drive passing the Abbey of Monte Cassino, founded in 529 completely destroyed in 1944 and reconstructed. Continue to Rome.
Day 8: Rome - USA.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your return flight to New York, flight AF 1505 departing at 12:55pm and arriving in New York at 6:55pm.
